Terms of Use
Last revised August 1, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of sharonwoodscharlotte.com (the "Site"). By accessing the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
These Terms were last revised on the date shown above. Continued use of the Site after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
1. Nature of the Site
The Site is an independent editorial guide to the Sharon Woods neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. It publishes general information about the area, its housing stock, schools, amenities, and market context.
The Site does not publish individual property listings, does not operate as a multiple listing service, and does not accept offers, applications, or funds. Any real estate transaction must be conducted through a licensed North Carolina broker under a separate written agreement.
2. No professional advice
Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, tax, financial, investment, engineering, appraisal, insurance, or real estate advice, and no fiduciary, agency, or brokerage relationship is created by using it.
Information about zoning, permitting, setbacks, tree protection, school assignment, taxes, HOA obligations, flood designation, and property boundaries changes frequently and varies by parcel. Verify every such item with the responsible authority before relying on it.
3. Accuracy and availability
Content is researched in good faith from public and primary sources but is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice, and we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
4. Permitted use
You may read, print, and share pages of the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes, including linking to any page with attribution.
- Do not scrape, harvest, or systematically copy the Site or use it to train machine-learning models without written permission.
- Do not republish substantial portions of the text or images commercially.
- Do not misrepresent the Site as an official neighborhood, HOA, school, brokerage, or government publication.
- Do not attempt to interfere with, probe, or overload the Site's infrastructure.
- Do not use the Site in violation of fair housing law or any other applicable law.
5. Intellectual property
All original text, photography, illustrations, maps, and page design on the Site are protected by copyright and remain the property of the publisher or its licensors. Third-party names, logos, and marks are the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively only.
6. Third-party links and firms
The Site links to third-party websites, including affiliated and compensating firms identified in labeled callouts. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for their content, practices, pricing, workmanship, or privacy handling, and any dealings you have with them are solely between you and them.
7. Fair housing
The Site supports and complies with the federal Fair Housing Act and the North Carolina State Fair Housing Act. All descriptions of the neighborhood, its schools, and its amenities are intended as factual and geographic information, not as statements about the desirability of any group of people. No content should be read as a preference, limitation, or discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Site, whether based in contract, tort, or any other theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher's total aggregate liability arising out of the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the publisher and its affiliates, officers, and contributors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms or of applicable law.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
11. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and other policies linked from the Legal Center, constitute the entire agreement between you and the publisher regarding the Site.
